I am originally from Vietnam and currently reside in San Francisco. Holding a degree in Computer Science from the renowned National University of Singapore, I am both a developer and entrepreneur.
Over the course of my 12-year career, I have had the privilege of contributing my expertise to tech giants such as Google, Addepar, and McAfee. Each role has been a significant chapter in my journey, dedicated to innovation and growth in the technology industry.
With 15 years of experience in the technology industry, I have taken on multiple roles, including computer programmer, tech entrepreneur, lecturer, and author. I have spent 5 years as an Engineering Manager at the Danish startup Planday, gaining extensive experience in both leadership and engineering.
Beyond my professional roles, I am the author of two well-known IT books in Vietnam (Agile Y and DevUP), co-founder of Agile Vietnam, which have played a significant role in shaping the local tech and Agile communities.
I am also proud to have received numerous accolades in competitive programming, including the Programming Olympiad for University Students and the ACM/ICPC Asia Regional Contest.
I’m Dave, a developer and tech entrepreneur with a Master’s degree from Swinburne University of Technology in Australia. My journey in the tech industry began during my university years when I worked as a senior developer at the digital experience agency Isobar.
With 15 years of industry experience, I have taken on leadership roles, including Director at VnDirect Securities and Head of the Technology Creativity Division at Vinmec International Healthcare System.
Beyond these roles, I have co-founded ViCare, a medical equipment company, and AhaSlides, a presentation software company. My career has been a dynamic exploration of the intersection between technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The genesis of zen8labs traces back to a casual Sunday afternoon, when our visionary founders gathered over a cup of coffee. Amidst discussions about contributing something innovative to the worldwide trend of digitization, the idea of establishing a unique entity took root.
