I come from Vietnam, and currently live in San Francisco. Having a degree in Computer Science from the renowned National University of Singapore, I am now a developer and entrepreneur.
Over the course of a remarkable 12-year career, I’ve had the privilege of contributing my skills to tech giants such as Google, Addepar, and McAfee. Each step has been a chapter in a journey dedicated to innovation and growth.
I have 15 years of experience in the technology industry as a computer programmer, tech entrepreneur, lecturer and author. Also, I worked as the Engineering Manager for the Danish startup Planday in 5 years, and my experience extends beyond my professional roles.
In Hanoi, Vietnam, I’ve co-founded multiple Agile and development communities, including Agile Vietnam and Scrum Hanoi. Besides, I actively contribute as an Agile and digital transformation consultant for prominent entities: VnDirect, VNPT, Viettel, and F88. I am also proud of receiving many honors in competitions such as the Programming Olympic for University students and the ACM/ ICPC for the Asia region.
I’m Dave, a developer and tech entrepreneur who earned my Master’s degree from Swinburne University of Technology in Australia. My journey in the tech industry started as a senior developer at the digital experience agency-Isobar during my time at the university.
With 15 years of industry experience, I went on to become the director of VnDirect Securities and the Technology Creativity Division of Vinmec International Healthcare System.
Beyond these roles, I co-founded ViCare, a medical equipment company, and AhaSlides, a presentation software company. My career has been a dynamic exploration of the intersection between technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The genesis of zen8labs traces back to a casual Sunday afternoon, when our visionary founders gathered over a cup of coffee. Amidst discussions about contributing something innovative to the worldwide trend of digitization, the idea of establishing a unique entity took root.
Our brand name, “zen8labs,” is a mix of the words “zen,” “8,” and “labs.” It represents a place created to help companies protect their resources and time while promoting smart business approaches.
